I have a lot of love for color in the kitchen — but with that said, colorful kitchens aren’t for everyone. Plenty of modern homes have open kitchens that are visible from lots of other rooms, which can make a brightly colored kitchen a hard sell. But that doesn’t mean a neutral colored kitchen needs to be boring or dour. By mixing natural materials and embracing texture, you can create a kitchen that eschews color — but is still full of energy and life. Here are some of our favorite examples.
