This Amazon Vitamix Blender Sale Is Better than Black Friday

If you’ve ever missed out on a Vitamix sale and later regretted it, today you can redeem yourself. Amazon’s Deal of the Day features two full-sized Vitamix models, including one for nearly half off. Deal of the Day quantities are often limited, and come midnight PST, the sale will be over. So, really, what are you waiting for?

We doubt you’ll ever see a Vitamix for $150 again. (For the record, this even beats their Black Friday sale prices — and that almost never happens with non-holiday sale deals on Amazon.)

Why I Sold Both of My Instant Pots (and What I Got Instead)

I admit it: I am a kitchen appliance junkie. I have been for more than a decade, since I fell in love with cooking. I want to buy nearly everything that comes on the market, but actually only buy the ones I know I will use on a regular basis. I make sure that the ones I do buy are the best value for the money no matter how inexpensive or expensive they may be. And then I love them to no end. I have a few high-speed blenders (because is one really enough?), one of the best food processors out there, two trusty slow cookers in different sizes, and I am never without a French press or a regular coffee maker.

A Brief But Fascinating History of the Refrigerator

Once my friend Chad came to see me. Upon entering the house, the first thing he did was go to the refrigerator, open the door, and stick his head inside to check out the contents. “I want to see how you live,” he said. This may not be the accepted protocol for visiting a friend in their home, but I think Chad was on to something. What’s in our refrigerators says a lot about us. If we are what we eat, then the refrigerator has become a huge part of who we are. It’s become so common that we may not give it a great deal of thought, but this one appliance has had a tremendous influence on the way we live at home. And yet, less than 100 years ago, people didn’t have refrigerators at all.
