Ever noticed that brooms, mops, dusters, and other handheld housekeeping tools have the smallest hanging holes? They never seem to fit on any sort of hook, which makes finding ways to store them slightly challenging.

This $20 Mop Is So Much Better Than a Swiffer

Raise your hand if you have a household chore that you just love to do. Even if you hate cleaning, you probably have your hand in the air. There’s always something. I love, love, love using the Shop-Vac. It’s incredibly satisfying to watch it cut a swathe through dust and dirt, swooshing everything up into its roaring nozzle. The Best Mops — The Best List

On the list of most tedious household chores, mopping ranks pretty high. You have to clear the area of any obstacles, sweep beforehand and get a proper amount of water and cleaner ready to roll. It’s a necessary task, and in the grand scheme of things isn’t a big deal, but it’s not the most fun thing to do on a Saturday afternoon. Things have changed in the past few years though—no longer dependent on a bucket and string mop, we have a ton of different mop styles to choose from, each with their own list of pros and cons. The Cleaning Mistake I Didn't Know I Was Making (But I'm Going to Keep Doing Anyway)

Back when I Kon-Mari-ed my cleaning supplies, I dutifully refilled my homemade baking soda dispensers (jars with holes hammered into the lids) and my re-purposed white vinegar squirters (empty dish soap bottles) so I’d have one of each in every bathroom. I use these ubiquitous homemade cleaners to scrub and disinfect all our sinks and toilets — or so I thought.
